Our Projects

At ACTS 4 Love, every project begins with a simple goal: to encourage people facing medical challenges through thoughtful, handmade items. Created by dedicated volunteers and supported by generous donors, our projects provide comfort, practical assistance, and reminders that no one has to face difficult moments alone. Cancer Capes

The project that started it all.

ACTS 4 Love began when a young girl named Emma asked for a superhero cape to help her "fight the bad guys" during treatment. Today, volunteers continue that mission by creating colorful Cancer Capes designed to encourage bravery and remind every child that they are loved.

Each cape includes a sewn heart as a symbol of hope, strength, and compassion.

Quilts

Handmade quilts are one of the most impactful projects at ACTS 4 Love. Volunteers create quilts for children, adults, veterans, nursing home residents, and families experiencing hardship. These gifts provide warmth, comfort, and a lasting reminder that someone in the community cares.

Ice & Heat Packs

One of our most requested comfort items, reusable ice and heat packs offer relief for everyday aches, recovery, and medical treatments. Volunteers assemble and donate hundreds of these practical items each year to hospitals and community partners.

Hanging Bags

Hanging bags attach to hospital beds, IV poles, walkers, and other equipment to keep personal belongings within easy reach. These simple creations make hospital stays and treatments a little more manageable.

NICU Hats & Premature Baby Blankets

Our volunteers lovingly sew tiny hats and blankets for babies receiving specialized neonatal care. These handmade gifts provide comfort to families and support hospitals caring for their smallest patients.

Walker & Wheelchair Bags

Available in both child and adult sizes, these handmade bags attach securely to walkers and wheelchairs, giving recipients a practical way to carry everyday essentials while maintaining independence.

In addition to our featured projects, ACTS 4 Love creates a wide variety of handmade comfort items to meet the unique needs of patients, families, and community partners. These include port pikkpillowcases, trachea supply organizers, bookmarks, pocket prayers, and other specialty items requested by hospitals and local organizations.

Making Every Donation Count

We believe in thoughtful stewardship. Whenever possible, leftover fabric and donated materials are repurposed into new projects, allowing every contribution to go further and reducing unnecessary waste.
